before i talk above my current knowledge. WHat i should have said was it depends to what degree you knife edge. Many 1/4 (imports) cars are knifedged to the point beyond having enough material to really counterbalance effectivly....the crank is balance yes....but less material means mess ability to counter act against harmonics....you can balnce a crank and still have harmonics...thats the point im making i guess. Let become more informed before i make another blanket statement :-) I want to make sure im right but this is about what i know. Its the same argument really as the pulley deal i suppose....and Ill argue that all day. YES it may lead to more wear BUT the return is worth it....you get my drift. Thats why i mentioned the balancer to you...with a balancer matched to the knife edged crank you'll have the best of both.
